About Us

Yasamin Brown, MPH

Ms. Brown serves as President and Executive Director of I’M AN EMPOWERED WOMEN INC. As President and Executive Director she performs a pivotal role in steering the organization towards achieving its mission and making a significant community impact. Additionally, she employs a unique blend of leadership, strategic planning, and operational management.  As an advocate for women’s rights, health and overall well-being, she has delivered several innovative peer-reviewed presentations, addressing empowerment-based health promotion needs of underserved women at the American Public Health Association’s annual conference. Ms.  Brown believes in empowering women with the skills they need to make informed choices and generally, craft a life they value. Her passion to empower women and the communities they reside in, inspired her earn a Certificate in Women's Rights and Gender Equality, Certificate in Gender Equality and Inclusion, and Certificate in Human Rights Advocacy and Activism from the London School of Business and Research. She earned her Master’s Degree in Public Health from Yale University School of Public Health and Bachelor of Science from Muhlenberg College.

I’M AN EMPOWERED WOMAN INC., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote a woman’s sense of self-worth, her ability to determine her own choices, and her right to influence social change for herself and others.
